Sass & Bide’s Impressive Autumn Collection @London Fashion Week 2013

The Australian duo behind the label Sass & Bide – Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton, never fail to impress me with their collection.
This year for the autumn wear they displayed a funky monochrome, tantalizing yellow and metallic designs. The only thing on my mind after watching their collection was – ” I want all of them NOW”. The girls were just wow.

The Look: What attracted me the most in this collection were the color palette - shiny yellow, monochrome tones of grey and black. Mini skirts and knee-length dresses in eye-popping shiny yellow (quite a summer look), black stripes, bold geometric prints, sleek metallic and chunky textured fabric made it to the catwalk in fun and funky style. The duo presented a wearable collection of skirts, dresses, floor-length maxis and wide-leg trousers. That isn’t all, the clothes were combined with precise accessories like the yellow envelope-clutch, caged bodices, bright daffodil yellow heels and what looked like a contemporary Masai necklace.
The Inspiration: The collection was titled “Wintergate“ . According to the designer duo, their collection was “born from a curiosity about man-made objects. We wanted to study the internal mechanics of them.”
The Verdict: The clothes were simply peachy and fun, what adds fun to their autumn collection is the infusion of the color yellow.
